new computer

Yeah, it has been yet another while. Busy life things getting in the way like job interviews, and wedding planning, and school, and hosting a new open mic night. Whew. BUT, I was given a used computer a few months ago. A solid computer that I put a new OS on and wanted to try to run all my recording through it. The only problem was that it is lacking in speed and memory... which tend to be key elements of recording. However, talking with my parents, their current desktop is not very useful to them. They said I could have it on the condition that I give them a computer that works. So, I'm going to set up the one I was given with everything they need. Then I get to format theirs, which is a much superior machine in speed and memory, and dedicate it to recording only. It has me very excited.

I also finally got new heads for the RetroSpec but have only changed the 16" so far. But the difference in sound is so apparent. The old heads just sound plastic compared to the hydrolic's rich deep tones. I'll be happy when all of this is set up and I can be productive again.

Still have yet to get back to the song writing, everything has been on hold for life... but soon all will be good!
